01

Create a new extraction

Combine text and supported files that belong to one research or operations task.

  1. Open Contact Extractor Studio.
  2. Name the project so its source and purpose remain clear.
  3. Paste permitted source text and add supported files.
  4. Choose Preview to run extraction without immediately saving a permanent project.
02

Review the extraction preview

Check detected fields and warnings before saving.

  1. Review detected emails, phones, names, and profile links.
  2. Check whether records have been grouped correctly.
  3. Remove irrelevant source material and rerun when necessary.
  4. Save the project only after the preview represents the intended scope.
Keep in mind

Pattern detection can misread malformed text. Human review is part of the workflow, not an optional final polish.

03

Edit and clean saved contacts

Correct automation before the records leave the project.

  1. Open the saved project from Projects.
  2. Edit inaccurate names, emails, phones, or profile fields.
  3. Add a missing contact manually when the source is clear.
  4. Remove duplicate, irrelevant, or unauthorized records.
04

Export the reviewed project

Choose the output that fits the next authorized system.

  1. Decide whether to export all records or clean-only records.
  2. Choose CSV for spreadsheet and import workflows.
  3. Choose VCF for compatible contact applications.
  4. Open the downloaded file and verify encoding and field placement.
05

Use extracted contacts responsibly

Source rights and outreach permission remain with your organization.

  1. Document why the source can be processed.
  2. Apply privacy and retention requirements.
  3. Confirm consent or another lawful basis before outreach.
  4. Honor suppression, unsubscribe, and do-not-contact requests.
FAQ

Troubleshooting notes

Common questions that can save a support request.

Why did two people appear as one contact?

Unstructured text may place fields close together. Edit the saved project and split or correct the records before export.

Why is a detected field missing?

The source may use an unsupported format or lack enough context. Add the field manually only when you can verify it.

Need a person?

Send the product, step, and exact result you see.

A specific support request is easier to diagnose than a general description.
