Privacy and compatibility

Your documents stay on your PC.

PDF processing runs locally. MonocomSoft purchase and license activation use an internet connection. Your document content is not uploaded as part of the local PDF workflow.

  • Windows 10 version 2004 or later, or Windows 11; x64. The .NET desktop runtime is included.
  • Default per-file limits: 500 pages and 100 MiB. Settings can raise them to 2,000 pages and 1,000 MiB; complex files need more memory and time.
  • Core PDF tools work without Ghostscript. Advanced colour conversion, PDF/X, PDF/A, outlines and CMYK sampling need a separate Ghostscript installation and appropriate profiles.
  • Office and HTML creation need the corresponding Microsoft Office app. CAD needs AutoCAD; some legacy images need ImageMagick. These applications are not bundled.

Before you start

A few useful things to know.

Is PDF Manager 360 free?

It is free to install and includes a 14-day full-feature trial. After the trial, opening and reading PDFs remains available. Editing, saving, exporting, extracting files and printing require an activated paid MonocomSoft license.

Can I merge and split PDF files?

Yes. Combine several PDFs, review their page order, or split one PDF by individual pages, page groups, regular batches, odd pages or even pages. Save separate output without overwriting your opened originals.

Can I change the original text inside a PDF?

V1 lets you add text, pictures, highlights, watermarks and sticky notes. It does not provide a full original-content text or object editor. RTF and DOCX exports preserve readable text and page breaks, rather than reconstructing the original layout.

How do I check image resolution in a PDF?

Open Inspect, run Inspect document and choose Images. Review each placement's pixel dimensions, placed size and effective X/Y DPI. Choose a print target, filter below-target images and save a CSV report. DPI does not measure blur or compression damage.

Do I need Ghostscript?

Reading, annotations, normal saving, page organization and inspection work without it. In Prepress, Print layout only can prepare trim, existing bleed and crop marks. CMYK conversion, PDF/X, PDF/A, text outlines, ink sampling and PostScript/EPS conversion require separately installed 64-bit Ghostscript.

Does PM360 include OCR or eSign?

Not in the current 1.3.0.0 release. OCR is planned for V2; broader electronic signing is planned for V3. V1 can insert signature artwork, which is a visible mark rather than a certificate-based digital signature.

Is a prepared PDF guaranteed press-ready or archive-compliant?

Review the output with your printer and use an independent validator where required. Bleed must already exist in the artwork. Crop is not secure redaction, and CMYK process-ink samples do not replace spot-colour or overprint proofing.

How do I install and activate the app?

Use the Microsoft Store installer or download the ZIP, extract it and run the included installer. To activate, use your MonocomSoft purchase email and PM360 license key, then complete email verification. Installation updates do not renew the trial.
